God’s Footsteps

Psalm 37:22-24

22 For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.

23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.

Man often believes he possesses control over the world or that everything has its own inherent power to govern itself. However, what many fail to realize is that true control is often an illusion. In reality, we exert far less influence over our surroundings and circumstances than we might imagine.

Acts 1:8

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Inherit

-to receive money, property, or assets from someone who has died:

Being blessed and inheriting the land are gifts that must be given to you and bestowed upon you. These blessings and inheritances are not something one can simply attain through their own efforts; they are granted by some higher authority or through circumstances beyond our control. This reminds us of the importance of humility and gratitude for the opportunities and advantages we receive in life.

-the master of a household; husbandEvery step taken by a child of God is believed to be divinely instructed by God, including the mistakes made along the way. It’s essential to understand that even these errors serve a purpose, as they provide valuable opportunities for learning and personal growth. In essence, the journey of a child of God is characterized by continuous learning and spiritual development, guided by the belief that every experience, both positive and negative, is part of a greater plan orchestrated by God.

Mark 10:18

And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

“There is no good but God,” is a profound statement that suggests that all goodness emanates from a divine source. So, how can a person be considered good? One can be deemed good by allowing the presence of God to dwell within them and by allowing God to work through them. When you invite God into your heart and allow His presence to guide your thoughts, actions, and intentions, you become an instrument through which goodness can flow into the world. It is through this alignment with the divine that individuals can aspire to goodness and make a positive impact on the world around them.

There are three distinct types of anointing:

1) With Them -This anointing refers to God’s presence with individuals who have not yet received Jesus Christ into their lives. It emphasizes the idea that God is still present in the lives of those who have not yet embraced Christianity.

2) Upon Them- This form of anointing pertains to the idea that God’s presence can come upon individuals at certain times, but it may not be a constant presence in their lives. It suggests that divine guidance and intervention may be occasional or situation-dependent.

3) Within Them- The anointing within individuals signifies a continuous, unwavering presence of God within them. This anointing highlights the belief that God resides permanently within those who have a strong faith, guiding them consistently throughout their lives.

These different types of anointing demonstrate the multifaceted ways in which individuals can experience and connect with God’s presence, whether they have embraced Christianity or not, and whether His influence is intermittent or constant in their lives.

Ordered

-give an authoritative direction or instruction to do something.

Matthew 8:9 (Authority)

For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

Matthew 8:10 (Answer)

When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

John 10:30-33

30 I and my Father are one.

31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

“You and Jesus and the Father are one, as the Kingdom of God lives within you.”

This statement underscores the concept of oneness and unity between you and God. It suggests that when a person has a deep connection with Jesus and the Father, they become unified as one, and the Kingdom of God resides within you. This concept emphasizes the profound spiritual connection and alignment that can exist between individuals and God, where they become vessels for the presence of the Kingdom of God in your lives.

Matthew 4:1-11

Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

Even Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit to be tested in the wilderness.

“Even Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit to be tested in the wilderness.”

The mention of being led by the Holy Spirit emphasizes the divine guidance and purpose behind these trials.

These tests were not meant to weaken Jesus but to strengthen him, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to his mission and his ability to overcome adversity. It also serves as a reminder to believers that they too may face tests and challenges, but with the guidance and strength of the Holy Spirit, they can navigate them successfully, just as Jesus did in the wilderness.
